Dharamshala: A book on Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the "Dalai Lama" released on 24 July by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Chief Minister of Himachal state of India: The book titled "Dalai Lama" was wrtten by an Indian educationist Prof. Som P. Ranchan in the state capital Shimla.

Acording to north India Times, "Professor Ranchan who has more than a  dozen titles to his credit , peeps into the personality of His Holiness the Dalai Lama as a spiritual leader, religious preacher and leader of Tibetan Government in exile. He  has observed the Nobel Laureate from close quarters and narrated his experiences in the book."

Chief Minister congratulated Prof. Ranchan for bringing out such an important publication which would go a long way in helping the research scholars in carrying more intensive research in Buddhism and those writing on the personality of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal said that it has always been a pleasure and a dream come true opportunity, for any person to share some moments with His Holiness and be blessed. He said that the experiences of the author about His Holiness shared in the book were different to the others who wrote about his personality. He appreciated the endeavour of the author to write on different aspects and bring out suitable publication to share the same with the readers.

Acording to contents of the book on Tibetan leader, is well focused giving an insight into the culture, lifestyle, Buddhism and fragile in existance tells about real life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
